Our policy as a company is to give our community clear & unbiased insurance information even if you use that to choose another provider. We help you advocate for your right to choose who provides your autoglass service.

We are also happy to share and compare the information of costs with our customers. Good Dog takes pride in transparency around how we work.

We always advocate for the best solution for the customer. We don’t want to “trick” anyone into working with us, and will refer you if we think there’s a better solution for your situation.

Good Dog helps you handle your insurance claim

We handle the insurance before your service so you don’t have to. Helping with language barriers, setting up the insurance claim and helping you understand your rights & deductibles.

  • When you come in for your appointment you can bring your insurance card in and we will walk through the claim process on a speaker phone together.
  • It takes ~15 minutes to set up a claim together.

How Insurance Works

With insurance don’t be fooled, you have a right to choose which auto-glass service provider you go with. The biggest question is who’s your insurance & what’s your deductible-  When you work with Good Dog Auto Glass, we help you understand how to work with your insurance, how much your insurance covers, and what the deductible is.

We work with all insurance companies and can provide direct insurance billing services or help walk you through your insurance options if you decide to pay out-of-pocket.

Out of pocket vs. bill direct- What's the deal?

If you’re in a position to pay for a service & seek reimbursement from insurance afterwards that is the way to maximize your limits. When you do this, the insurance company is contractually obligated to match your limits whereas they often lowball service providers making you end up paying more out of pocket.

Insurance Faqs

No Stupid Questions here...

Generally replacements & recalibrations are always covered under the comprehensive portion of your policy.

If you have only liability? Auto glass is probably not covered.

Depends on your deductible- you pay the deductible and then everything over your deductible the insurance company pays.

We DO NOT take money over your deductible. We take the deductible and not a penny more from the customer and the insurance pays the rest.

If you want to call your insurance yourself, we recommend following the below steps to get the results you want.

  1. Decide where you want to take your vehicle to be repaired.
  2. Call the 800# on the back of your insurance card (skip your agent).
  3. Answer all the insurance questions asked until they redirect you.
  4. You will be talking to Safelite at this point- answer their questions.
  5. Say no until you get a human/ ask for a human.
  6. Don’t let them bully you into using Safelite techs. You have a right to choose!
  7. They will setup the claim- they will verify your policy & identity.
  8. They will want to know the date of loss & cause.
  9. When they ask for the shop phone# give them our number & it’s easy they will connect with us for direct billing.

In-network providers are that because they work for the insurance company, we are not that because we work for YOU.
